The volume of a cylinder:

V=\pi r^2h
r - the radius, h - the height.

The radius is half the diameter.
The height is three times the radius.

d=6 \ in \\ r=(6)/(2) \ in=3 \ in \\ h=3r=3 * 3 \ in = 9 \ in \\ \pi \approx 3.14

V=3.14 * 3^2 * 9=3.14 * 9 * 9=3.14 * 81=254.34

The volume is 254.34 in³.
