To find:

The value of given expression at x = 1 and y = 2.

(3x* x)^2-((x)/(y))^(-2)

Solution:

It is known that

a^(-b)=((1)/(a))^b

Substitute x = 1 and y = 2, in the expression and simplify as follows:

\begin{gathered} (3x* x)^2-((x)/(y))^(-2)=(3(1)*1)^2-((1)/(2))^(-2) \\ =(3)^2-(2)^2 \\ =9-4 \\ =5 \end{gathered}

Thus, the answer is 5.
