kara used the formula P=2(L+W) to find the perimeter of a photograph. She tells Jim that the length is 6 centimeters and the perimeter is 22 centimeters. How can Jim find the width of the photo?

We replace the l with 6 and p with 22 in the equation so its 22=12+2w. 22-12=2w. 10=2w. w=5. And the width is 5. We substituted and solved the problem.
