Algebra :) my favorite!

The perimeter of a square is 80-64y units. Which expression can be used to show the side length of one side of the square?

16y(5-4) Each side measures 5-4 units.
4(20-16y) Each side measures 20-16y units.
4y(20-16) Each side measures 20-16 units.

please explain for future reference, i have come across several of these problems, and i don't understand how to solve them. make sure you are absolutely positive of your answer, please.

also, take your time to answer. i am in no hurry.

The 4 sides of a square all have the same lenhth. The perimeter of a square is 4 times the length of one side. Each side is 1/4 of the perimeter. 1/4 of (80 - 64y) is (20 - 16y). That can also be factored, and then written as 4 (5 - 4y). Both forms have the same value. I am absolutely positive of all of the above.
