What was John Hancock role in the war

John Hancock did not actually have a major role in the Revolutionary war, partly because many people have found that his other roles precluded fighting (like when he was a president of the Massachusetts' Provincial Congress. His biggest Role in the war was non-military: he was the President of the Continental Congress.
