One interaction between the nervous system and the skeletal system involves the calcium stored in the bones. The nervous system requires calcium for the proper transmission of nerve impulses.

In which other way do the skeletal and nervous systems interact?

A. Red blood cells are produced in bone marrow.

B. The brain controls the contraction of muscles.

Answer:

C. The brain controls the contraction of muscles.

Step-by-step explanation:

Calcium's positive molecule is important to the transmission of nerve impulses to the muscle fiber via its neurotransmitters triggering release at the junction between the nerves. Inside the muscle, calcium facilitates the interaction between actin and myosin during contraction.

A.) Red blood cells are produced in the bone marrow.

It's a well known fact that bone marrow produces blood cells, and also these blood cells contribute to just how well the nervous system works. Nerves require blood in order to function properly. The way that both the Skeletal system and Nervous system work in harmony is by both of them producing functions for each other. The blood cells produced by the marrow, allow the nerves to function properly, while the nerves produce senses for the bones and muscle.

Hope this helps.
