if you mean 2x^2 (squared) - 10, then all you have to do is replace x with 5.

f(5) = 2(5)^2 - 10
= 2 (25) - 10
= 50 - 10
f(5) = 40

f(x)= 2x² -10
f(5)= 2(5)²-10

f(5)= 40
