The bike store marks up the wholesale (lower price) cost of all of the bikes they sell by 30%.1. Andre wants to buy a bike that has a price tag of $125. What was the wholesale cost of this bike?/(Hint: the $125 is 130% of the original wholesale price)2. If the bike is discounted by 20%, how much will Andre pay (before tax)?

Bike store sell prices

Then $125 is equivalent to 130%

Find how much is 100%

WHOLESALE COST IS 125X 100/130 = $ 96.154 dollars

PART 2

Find 20% of $125

Its equal to 125x20/100 = 25

Now substract 125- 25 = 100

THEN ANDRE would have to pay $100 dollars if bike is discounted by 20%
