Think of the 1920s in contrast with the Great Depression of the 1930s. Which of these two time periods do you think has had a bigger impact on the development of US society, either from a political or cultural viewpoint? Explain why.

This is of course somewhat of a subjective question, but in general most would agree that the Great Depression had a greater impact, since many of the New Deal programs that went into effect as a result of the depressions play a major role in our lives today.
