The general slope-intercept form is given by
y = mx + b, where
m is the slope and
b is the y-intercept.

Let's find the slope first. Remember that the slope given by two points is
(y_2 - y_1)/(x_2 - x_1). So, using the two given points,

m = (y_2 - y_1)/(x_2 - x_1)

m = (18.75 - 17.60)/(2002 - 2001)

m = 1.15

Now, we know that
y = 1.15 x + b. To find
b, let's just plug in the x and y coordinates for one of the points and solve for b:

17.60 = 1.15(2001) + b

17.60 = 2301.15 + b

b = -2283.55

Thus, the equation of the line in slope-intercept form is

\bf y = 1.15x - 2283.55
