Legalists see the key to restoring order as the application of a legal text to a situation to solve a problem. This can include a constitution, a piece of legislation or case law. This means that if a legalist had a specific case regarding any type of subject they would only use written law to examine it and reach a decision instead of focusing on the social, economic or political context.
