I assume "Muslim belief system" refers to Islam, the religion, not any specific social construct. There are a lot of inherent elements. One is monotheism: there is only 1 god. Another element is the 5 Pillars of Islam, which give guidance on how to live one's life. Hope this helps.

Islam is one of the three monotheistic religions, and as such believes in one God. Islam was officially formed when Muhammad moved from Mecca to Medina. He preached a message he received from an angel. The concept of Islam is reflected in the Five Pillars of Islam, which are: The concept of Islam is reflected in the Five Pilars of Islam, which is: faith in one God, prayer five times a day, charity, fasting, and at least once in a lifetime the pilgrimage.

All five pillars can be summarized in one concept that one should be obedient to God's will.
