Days: 0 days=-3$
1 day=-5$
2 days=-7$

If M=Money and D=days, write an equation for the lone that represents his financial condition. < Please tell me the answer to this, I can't figure it out.

so loss of 2 per day
represent x for number of days
let y represent earnings (if negative,assume loss)
x=0 then y=-3
x=1, then y=-5
so each day is -2 so
-2 times days or -2x
subsitute
y=-2x
if x=0 then y=-3
y=-2(0)+b
-3=0+b
b=-3

equation is
y=-2x-3

whoopes sorry
m=money
d=days then
m=-2d-3

Since Mr. Bean is losing $2 each day, he will have lost a total of 2*D dollars in D days. He also started with $3 of debt ($-3) when D = 0
Therefore his total amount of money is starting amount - total losses or -3-2*D
so M = -2*D - 3
