slope intercept form is
y=mx+b
m=slope
b=y-intercept
so make the x to to the other side
-3x+4y=8
add 3x to both sides
4y=3x+8
divide by 4
y=3/4x+2

Solve the equation to get y = something as you would any other equation.
-3x + 4y = 8
4y = 8+3x
y = (8+3x)/4
Then, to match the form mx+b, just split the fraction, distribute the 1/4 whatever you call it
y = 8/4 + 3x/4 = (3/4)x+2
