x^2-5x-66=0 \\ x^2+6x-11x-66=0 \\ x(x+6)-11(x+6)=0 \\ (x-11)(x+6)=0 \\ x-11=0 \ \lor \ x+6=0 \\ x=11 \ \lor \ x=-6 \\ \boxed{x=-6 \hbox{ or } x=11}
