The price of a printer was reduced from $400 to $240, what was percent of decrease_______.

A simple equation to help with percent decrease is the equation (new-old)/old. So the "new" value is $240, while the "old value is $400. So the equation would be (240-400)/400. This equals -160/400=40%. So its a 40% decrease
