1 yard = 3 feet, so 2yds x 1yd is the same as 6ft x 3ft, or 18 square feet

If one acre contains 43,560 square feet, and the question asks how many trees can be planted per acre, then all we have to do is divide 43,560 by 18:

43,560 ÷ 18 = 2420 trees

So, the answer is A) 2,420.
