First find how long the first piece is by converting 1/5 into a decimal =.2 then multiply that by 9.45
.2 x 9.45= 1.89 m (first piece)

Subtract that from original length
9.45- 1.89= 7.56
Then subtracr .12 from the remaining amount so 7.56-.12= 3.72

3.72 (third piece)

Now add the first and third piece together and subrtact it from the whole length and it will give you the length of the second piece.

3.72+1.89= 5.61
9.45- 5.61= 3.84 (second piece)

Double check 3.84- 3.72= .12 which it does
And then youre done!
1st 1.89 meters
2nd 3.84 meters
3rd 3.72 meters
