Americans were encouraged by the outcome of the War of 1812, because it meant total and complete freedom and independence (in all respects: economically, socially and culturally) from the British. Although the Revolutionary War had already taken place, this gave the inhabitants of the United States the moral boost to continue and progress with their countries advancement in socially and economically.
