If there are 3x-2 trees planted in each row, and we have a total of 24x-16 trees, this means that the number of trees multiply the number of rows will give us the answer of 24x-16
let r=number of rows
(3x-2)*r=24x-16
to find r we will divide both side by 3x-2
r=24x-16
3x-2

we see that 8 is a common factor for the numerator

r= 8(3x-2)/3x-2=8

we have 8 rows
