if you simplify the 2(5+5) to 2x10 and then 20 you get 20/20 which equals one

(20)/(2(5+5)) - Following the order of operations, we do parenthesis first.

(20)/(2(10)) - Multiply out the value against the parenthesis.

(20)/(20) = 1 - This leaves us with 20 over 20. 20 goes into 20 only 1 time, so our final answer is 1.
