How to simplify the square root of 49 over the square root of 4

Square root of 49 divided by the square root of 4. The square root of 49 is seven, the square root of 4 is 2. So now, it looks like this: 7/2. Depending on how your teacher wants you to answer this, you would either leave it as 7/2 or simplify it further by dividing 7 by two, or making it into a mixed fraction. Hope this helps :)

multiply the √49 by √4 - this will give you √196 over 4
√196 = 14
therefore you have 14/4
divide each by 2 to simplify
this gives you 7/2 <-- your final answer
