It is group 16. That is, Chalcogens. They call it the oxygen family.

Explanation;
Group 16 elements
of the periodic table is called
the oxygen family
. They are also called
Chalcogens
since they are found as compounds or ores in the earth's crust.
These elements like oxygen
, they have six electrons in the outermost energy level, thus they have a valency of two
as they require 2 electrons to attain a stable configuration. Examples of elements in this groups includes, oxygen, polonium, sulfur, and selenium.
Therefore, due to the fact that element X has six outermost electrons then it belongs to group 16.
