If you had distance and time, you would take your distance and then divide it by speed, then put your variable /s right after, like if you were using meters, it would be m/s

That statement is false.

If you divide (distance covered) by (acceleration), the answer would be
some number of squared seconds. That kind of a number has no
physical significance ... I don't know what it is, but it sure isn't a speed.

To calculate speed, divide (distance covered) by (time to cover the distance).
