The mean absolute deviation of a set of data is the average distance between each data value and the mean. The mean is (20+25+30+30+45)÷5=30 ( |20-30|+|25-30|+|30-30|+|30-30|+|45-30| )÷5=6 The mean absolute deviation is 6.
