The jet stream is a fast moving stream of air that blows horizontally around the earth in the lower stratosphere. Jet streams change latitude. altitude and depth seasonally. The polar jet stream blows toward to east. In the winter season, the stream will migrate south causing temeartures accros the region to fall. The typical conditions are low temperatures, rain or snow.

The two jet streams that straightforwardly influence our climate in the mainland US are the polar fly and the subtropical fly. They are in charge of transporting the climate frameworks that influence us. The polar front is the limit between the chilly North Pole air and the warm central air.
