Queen Hatshepsut was the fifth pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt. She was the second female pharaoh we know of. Hatshepsut was the daughter, sister and wife of a king, and therefore, her bloodline allowed her to become queen. The Queen oversaw expeditions to the Land of Punt, as well as Nubia and Canaan. She was one of the most successful pharaohs in history.
