What is the answer to the equation 5x=2x+20?

5x = 2x + 20 \\ subtract--------\ \textgreater \ -2x \\ 3x = 20 \\ Divide -----\ \textgreater \ 3x \\ \\ x = 6 (2)/(3)

I don't know. But I know how to find it. Let's work it out together:

5x = 2x + 20

Subtract 2x from each side: 3x = 20

Divide each side by 3 : x = 20/3 or ( 6 and 2/3 ).
