Which statement is true?

-The earth has a stronger gravitational pull than the Sun because it is smaller in mass.

-Planets would travel in a straight line if it weren't for the force of the Sun's gravity.

-The Sun's gravitational pull is weaker on planets that are closer to it.

-The elliptical path of planets is described by Newton's 1st law of motion.

- No. The earth has a stronger gravitational pull on you than the Sun has,
because the Earth is quite a bit closer to you than the sun is.

- Yes, but poorly worded. Planets would travel in a straight line if
it weren't for the forces of gravity pulling the Sun and each planet
toward each other.

- No. Gravitational forces are stronger between objects that are
closer together.

- No. The elliptical path of planets is described by Newton's 3rd law
of motion, combined with Newton's law of gravity.

The first statement is false, the Sun has a stronger gravitational pull.

The second statement is true!

The third is false: in fact it's the opposite!

The forth statement is also false, this law is about the fact that withou any new force, an object in move would continue movint.
