x+(x+2)=164
2x+2=164
2x=164-2
2x-162
x=162/2
x=81
Other integer = x+2 = 81+2 = 83
Therefore, the integers are 81 and 83

Half of 164 is 82. ... 82 + 82 = 164. ... Just take 1away from one of the 82s and give it to the other one. Their sum is still 164, but now you have 81 and 83.
