Typically, one dot is over one t. Two dots over two t's means the following. One dot /t = one tab, one capsule Two dot /t = two tab, or two cap It is a linguistic device for writing quantity of "x" It can be anything, tab, cap, transdermal patch, ask me further if you need more clarification but in simple terms just know its the "qty of"
