So
2\3x+15=17 FIRST SUBTRACT 15 FROM BOTH SIDES!!!!
-15=-15 =15 AND -15 CANCEL EACH OTHER AND 17-15=2
2\3x=2 THEN DIVIDE BOTH SIDE BY 2\3x
÷2\3x=÷2\3x 2\3 = 0.6666667
2\3x and 2\3x cancel each other and 2\0.6666667 = 0.33333333

Answer would be rounded to nearest tenths

ANSWER IS 3

2/3 x + 15 = 17
2/3 x = 17 - 15
2/3 x = 2
x = 2 / (2/3)
2/1 * 3/2 = 6/2 = 3
x = 3
