the best one to use would be the quart measuring cup because it is bigger so it would fill up the pot faster

4 quarts = 1 gallon
16 cups = 1 gallon
Using the quart sized cup would fill the pot up faster because youd only have to fill it 4 times. Using the cup sized cup would result in filling it 16 times.
