What could be a real world situation for the equation 100-6x=160-10x

A shop gives out "points" which can be redeemed for cash back on purchases.
Say you used 6 points to save on an $100 hairdryer.
If you used 10 points, you could've bought an $160 hairdryer for that same amount.
How much is a point worth?
