so 12 members
they have 3 slots
assuming they choose from the group of 12 members
12 choices for the first slot
2nd slot: 1 is taken so 12-1=11 choices for the second
3rd slot: 2 are taken so 12-2=10 choices for te 3rd
answer is 12 times 11 times 10=1320=B
