0.6 + 0.7- 0.8

solve that for pepperoni and olives

0.8= 1.3 - pepperoni and olives

A.K.A - 1.3 - 0.8 = 0.5

Answer: 0.5

Explanation:

Given: P(pepperoni) = 0.7

P(olives) = 0.6

P(pepperoni or olives) = 0.8

We know that for any events A and B , the probability of getting A and B is given by :-

\text{P(A and B)= P(A)+P(B)-P(A or B)}

Therefore, we have

\text{P(pepperoni and olives)=P(pepperoni) +P(olives)-P(pepperoni or olives) }\\\\\Rightarrow\ \text{P(pepperoni and olives)}=0.7+0.6-0.8\\\\\Rightarrow\ \text{P(pepperoni and olives)}=0.5
