(-2,8) \\ x_1=-2 \\ y_1=8 \\ \\ (6,-2) \\ x_2=6 \\ y_2=-2 \\ \\ d=√((x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2)=√((6-(-2))^2+(-2-8)^2)= \\ =√(8^2+(-10)^2)=√(64+100)=√(164) \approx 12.8

The distance is approximately 12.8 units.
