Which sentence is not correctly punctuated?

A.
George lives in Kentucky; his cousins live in Ohio.


B.
George lives in Kentucky, and his cousins live in Ohio.

I believe it would be B. I don't think there is supposed to be a comma right after Kentucky on that one, but I'm not completely sure.

A. would be incorrect
because again a ; isn't needed
