So the formula for that is:
(total - difference) ÷ 2 = smaller number
(total + difference) ÷ 2= larger number
In this case, Judy is more so we do second fomula:
(12 + 6) ÷ 2 =
9 hits homerun
and Marnie will hit 12 - 9 = 3 hits
