Static Friction- A stationary object and the surface on which it resides. (A block sitting on a table)
Rolling Friction- Any sort of object rolling across a surface. (soccer-ball rolling through the grass)
Fluid Friction- Occurs around any solid object moving through a liquid or gas medium. (A boat on the water)
Kinetic (Sliding) Friction- Occurs when two objects slide across each other. (A sled sliding across snow)
