7+4= 11
14+8=22
10*22=220

So to find the larger number:
1. Add the ratio together : 7+4 = 11
2. Find 1/11 of the number: 220 ÷ 11 = 20
3. Find 7/11 of a number ( bigger number): 20 × 7 =
140
and the smaller number will be 220 - 140 = 60
