To find a mixed number, you can see that 2/2 can stand for one. So you find out, how many 2/2s are in 9/2. The answer is 4 but then you still have 1/2 left. So you end up with 4.5 or 4 1/2

In order to make
(9)/(2) a mixed number you have to do division.
(9)/(2)=4 (1)/(2). Check:
4 (1)/(2)= (4*2+1)/(2)= (9)/(2). Therefore,
(9)/(2) as a mixed number is
\boxed{4 (1)/(2)}. Hoped I helped. :)
