10x - 6 = 3(5 + x) \\10 - x = 3(5) + 3(x) \\10x - 6 = 15 + 3x \\7x - 6 = 15 \\(7x)/(7) = (21)/(7) \\x = 3

10(3)-6 = 24
3(5+3) = 24
