What is 30% of ( ) equals 60, find the missing number.

ALso if possible please provide your strategy for finding this awnser so I can use it in the future, i am actually studying for my finals exam

Solution:
Let us rewrite 30% as
(3)/(10). Let x be the missing number.


(3)/(10)(x) = 60 \\ x = (10)/(3)(60) = (600)/(3) = 200

and we are done.

Note: You can do the same method by saying that 30% = 0.3 which would then show us that 60 divided by 0.3 is 200.
