There are 5,280 feet in a mile.

You can divide 16,300 by 5,280 to see how many miles it would be.

$(16300)/(5280)=(1630)/(528)=(815)/(264)\ or\ 3(23)/(264)\ (simplest form)\\\\(16300)/(5280)\approx 3.08712$
