Compare and contrast the women’s rights movement of the 1840s–1860s with the women’s rights movement of the 1960s–1980s.

The main difference between these two movements is that the former took place before the Civil War and the latter took place after. Before the Civil War, women's rights issues were more closely tied with slavery issues, while after it was more tied to civil rights issues for blacks.
