Assuming you meant 4x+1=3x:
4x+1=3x
First, take away 3x from both sides, leaving you with x+1=0
Then, take 1 from both sides, leaving you with x=-1, which is your answer!

I'm assuming that you meant 4x+1=3x?

Subtracting 4x, we get 1=-x. Multiplying by -1, we get x=-1 as the solution.
