Why are leaves green? because they contain chlorophyll, which reflects wavelengths of light in the red range because they contain chlorophyll, which absorbs wavelengths of light in the green range because they contain chlorophyll, which reflects wavelengths of light in the green range

The chlorophyll in red leaved plants is different to that in green leaved plants. The red plant contains unstable chlorophyll, which reflects red, where as the green plant contains stable chlorophyll, which reflects green.
