looking common minimum denominator
for 4 and 3 is 12
multiply first fraction by 3 so we have
(3)/(4)= (3*3)/(4*3)= (9)/(12)
multiply second fraction by 4 so we have
(2)/(3)= (2*4)/(3*4)= (8)/(12)
and now just add both fraction
(9)/(12)+ (8)/(12)= (17)/(12)=1 (5)/(12)
