The answer is $660 because when multiply 3000•.22=$660.

The answer you want to find is the total overall amount the school raised, not just the exceeded amount.
You would multiply 3000 by .22 and get 660 and the add 660 to 3000. the answer is $3,660.
#3,000 x .22 = 660
$660 + #3,000= $3,660
